If you want to keep maintanence then there is need for micro-lube gun, extension and a socket with cloth to wrapped around end. You should accept those grease that have Manitous Prep, finishing Teflon, englunds honey slick and pedros syngrease. Thinner grease is better than thick grease because it spreads easily and performs better. If you get thick grease to use in your bike then firstly you should make it thin with use of finish-line chain oil.

Before using oil for your motorcycle, you should take proper oil information, that which quality of oil you are going to use is good or not. You should use best oil for your bike. Best oil quality is 2.5wt but you can also use 5wt oil because it is better than 2.5wt and more suitable for your bike. It provides good results for stopping leaks and damping rates. Belray is an alternative option and people can use it in seal swellers. You should check oil level in damper side. There should be efficient amount of oil. There is need of “air space” in damper for TPC manitous.

To get extra level, if people want extension in fork then they can extend to 98 Manitou SX forks and Xvert along with 99-Sx manitous. If people want to modify it then there is need to remove present spacer, extending main spring-stack and trimming top-out bumpers. For this, you will require 8mm and 4mm Allen keys, 24mm spanner and sharp knife. Firstly, you have to remove lower legs, simply undo bolts and after that slide off them. Spring side has contained plastic compression of black color that can extend through bottom of staunchion. If fork has a 24mm snapper and removal end cap then take compression rod in outside.

Most manitous were MCU sprung. This gave good performance, various tuning options and lightweight. Manitous added some coil spring with MCU spring since 1996. It is continuously decreasing quantity of MCU and increasing quantity of spring. MCU provides spring element that is easily tunable and cheaper to experiment. It provides bumps better, to absorb larger hits and progression to spring stack. Replacing a MCU stack and Manitou spring with linear and single spring will not provide good ride. Cheaper and easier alternative option is to tailored ratio of MCU and single spring in Manitou Fork.
